Handarbeiten -> Stricken -> Modular Shawl

Stricken

Modular-Shawl

der Modular-Schal

Modular-Schal von VorneModular-Schal als WesteModular-SchalModular-Schal mit Labrador-Welpen

Such an easy project!

It's all knitted in garter stitch.

    You will need:
  • a very long circular knitting needle size 2.5mm or finer
  • about 400 grams of 6ply sock yarn - all your left overs, perhaps, and I suggest a ball of black to separate the leftovers from each other

Cast on 501 stitches and knit every row.
In every second row the middle 3 stitches are worked together into one stitch, like this:
Slip two together as if to knit, knit one, and pass the two slipped stitches over.
Carry on like this until your shawl is as deep as you want it to be.

Actually, I wanted to knit a blanket, but one day, I thought to myself:
"Hey, what a wonderful shawl this would be!"
So I bound it off and have loved it ever since ...

When I was trying to take a nice photo to show the shape and how to knit it, I had to be quick, because the puppies wanted to help ;-)

The triangle measures 41 cm diagonal (16 1/2 ins)
The shawl is 29 cm deep (11 1/2 inches)
and 1.15 meters long (45 inches)
